Your Trusted Guide on your Journey to Wellness

Alaa Abousaif, MD is a Board Certified Internist and Gastroenterologist, as well as a Board Certified Obesity Medicine physician, who has been in private practice for nearly two decades. In that time, he has developed an outstanding reputation not only as a gastroenterologist but also as a caring and compassionate human being.

“When you’ve been doing what you do for as long as I have, patients tend to take for granted that you’re good at it,” explained Dr. Abousaif. “It’s kind of a given, because if you’re not, you certainly wouldn’t have lasted this long!”

Dr. Abousaif went on to say that what really sets physicians apart is how they treat their patients – how well they address not only their physical well-being but their emotional well-being as well.

“Patients come to us with a lot of anxieties and concerns – understandably so,” he said. “Our job as physicians is to put them at ease, address their concerns, and then do the best job possible for them.”

Dr. Abousaif is known not only for his expertise but also for his excellent bedside manner and caring personality…traits that have helped earn him a five-star online rating. With his outstanding reputation, he is also gastroenterologist of choice for other physicians and healthcare professionals.

In addition to his medical degree, Dr. Abousaif has also completed extensive advanced training in treating a multitude of digestive disorders, and believes in leveraging the latest technology to accurately diagnose and treat digestive problems.

As part of his commitment to helping others, Dr. Abousaif started a mentorship program designed to help students learn more about being a gastroenterologist and the business of owning your own practice.

“I find a lot of joy in what I do,” said Dr. Abousaif. “Helping put people on the path to health and wellness…what could be better than that!”
